This charming cultivar forms dense, spreading mats of small, heart-shaped green leaves, reaching about 4-6 inches (10-15 cm) in height. In late spring to early summer, it produces an abundance of upward-facing, star-shaped flowers in a vibrant violet-blue hue, each with a slightly flared bell shape.
